But my favorite thing about this photo is that it is truly of cephalopods: there aren&#8217;t just squid in there, but octopus and cuttlefish too.<\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s no surprise, because after checking out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.noadi.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Noadi.net<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/shop.php?user_id=6288550\" target=\"_blank\">her Etsy page<\/a>, it&#8217;s apparent that Noadi&#8217;s creator\/alter ego, Sheryl Westleigh, is a true cephalopod fan herself. She sculpts beautiful necklaces, earrings, hair sticks and more out of polymer clay.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>My favorite piece of Noadi&#8217;s by far is of course this (&#8220;giant squid colored&#8221; &#8211; aka red) squid necklace.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 430px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/view_listing.php?listing_id=22347583\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Giant Squid Necklace\" src=\"http:\/\/ny-image1.etsy.com\/il_430xN.61668445.jpg\" alt=\"Photo Courtesy of Noadi.net\" width=\"430\" height=\"430\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo Courtesy of Noadi.net<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>My birthday just happens to be next week (on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earthday.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">Earth Day<\/a> &#8211; April 22nd, if you didn&#8217;t know), so if anyone needs any last minute gift ideas, I would happily accept some squid jewelry! Of course, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsy.com\/view_listing.php?listing_id=22347583\" target=\"_blank\">my favorite design<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0is unfortunately sold out (I&#8217;m hoping because someone already bought it for me &#8211; a girl can dream, can&#8217;t she?!), but I will gladly accept any of Noadi&#8217;s designs with open arms, so please, don&#8217;t let that stop you.<\/p>\n<p>All right, shameless begging for birthday presents over.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I just couldn&#8217;t resist sharing the work of another cephalopod-lover.
